Default How Many Days A Week Do You Do Cardio?

Everyday?

3-4 times a week?

And why do you do cardio that many times a week? Also, on average, how long are your cardio sessions?

Every day. I do a 20-30 minute bike ride in the early morning and a 45-60 minute power-walk (both outside, weather permitting) in the late afternoon. If the weather's bad then I do 20-30 minutes on the elliptical and 45 minutes on the treadmill. I do the bike ride because it's good exercise for my legs, and my legs need strengthening/toning. I do the walk because I really enjoy walking, even though I'm drenched when I finish. I should say I love walking outside (I can take or leave the treadmill).

I also lift weights, although I do that because I need to...I do NOT enjoy it. It's about as interesting as watching paint dry.

5-6 times a week.. altering between swimming, running and biking. So maybe one day I can do a triathlon
I might get sore from running, but usually not from swimming, so it's great to alter between those two. And it really helps to have a schedule hanging on the wall, so you are reminded every day of how hard you have worked!

i do about an hour of cardio , 5 times a week , early mornings and a 15 - 20 mins walk in the evenings. My morning cardio is 75% crosstrainer and reamining treadmill, followed by a 10 minute sesion of strength training ( ughhhhhhhhhh).

Three days a week, for about 30 minutes. I do it just before my weight training/TRX work to get my heart rate up. It's how the class is designed. We do step work, squats (a lot of them!), the weight training/TRX. It all blends together, actually. Otherwise, I wouldn't do it at all! Hate it!

Daily - usually for an hour. Running 4 days per week and some other cardio (like a DVD) the other 3 days.

I cardio because I love food!

Every day for a minimum of 60 minutes, often 90 minutes. I do it because it makes me feel good the rest of the day.

I do 4 times a week and each session of cardio lasts about 35 minutes--then we move to weights--bands--balls and a little stretching. Jazzercise. I don't stress out though if I only get in 3 days a week--I'll just try to make it up the next week and our I'll just consider a 3 mile hike as that 4th time. It's important that you get your heart rate up for 25 minutes--because that's the fat and calorie burning part.

Also just to add--at my age--I don't do it all at once. I will go to class two days in a row--then take a day off, etc.

It's very important, if you're a beginner--not to try and do too much all at once. If you have too--start with 2 days a week of cardio then when your endurance builds up move to 3 then to 4--etc.

I try to walk a little bit everyday, even if it is just around my apartment to loosen up my joints.

I try to walk 5k at least 3 days a week and usually do it 5 days. 2 or 3 of those days I do walk/jog drills

2 or 3 days a week I do 30 minutes on the elliptical at the gym

Only the walk jog drills and elliptical really stress my body enough for me to count it as true cardio and not just extra movement to burn extra calories but many people would say just doing it counts because my heart rate is above what it would be sitting on the couch.

I keep this schedule because if I did less I would fall out of the habit of doing anything at all. It also makes me feel good... well the "light cardio days" I feel slightly tired for about 20 minutes after but feel super energized after. the "heavy cardio days" it takes closer to 2 hours to get over feeling drained but I feel great afterwards, just not quite as energized.

As Kscott said, if you are just starting don't push yourself too far, it can cause burnout or injury

Last month, I did cardio (bike) nearly everyday for at about 40 minutes. This month, I am starting a strength training program in a rotation with 20-minute cardio days and rest days. I may still do some light cardio on my rest days, because it keeps my brain happy, but I'm going to see how I feel.
Next month, who knows?

Right now my cardio has been up and down due to injury and other complications.

I would like to get my cardio up to 6 days a week with Sunday being my rest period. This week I think I will only get 5 days, as I missed Tuesday night.

I do a half hour on the treadmill in the early morning....I do walk/run intervals including HIIT sprints...when I have a different work schedule during the school year, I usually put in about 45 minutes instead...but my summer is more crunched for time...I do this 5 workdays during the week

4 maybe 5 times a week. I am following TurboFire though, so it depends on what's set in the calendar for me (I"m currently not trying to incorporate any other modes of exercise at the moment cuz I want to get TurboFire DONE as close to the timeframe on the program).

The cardio workouts range from 15 min HIIT workouts to 55 min long workouts.

I do Walk Away The Pounds videos or powerwalk 3 - 5 miles about 4 - 5 days per week. I enjoy eating so it's really helping me maintain my weight, plus I really feel great afterwards and not sore/winded.
