I downloaded a few yogao for weightloss videos the other day, and I swear to god, they're still for stick figures! Is there any yoga videos out the for the "not so slender" folks? I'd really REALLY like to get into it, but it's so hard to do the majority of those moves when you are in your 200's.....

One of my friends is actually a yoga instructor and she is probably about 240 and 5'4. She does retreats, classes and all that stuff. It just takes practice! Not sure what type she practices though

Wow, that's impressive! I'm gonna stick with the one I found for beginners/weightloss. Hopefully it will get easier as I go

If you stick to it, you'll get better. She started out as a noobie doing some hot yoga classes for beginners. It took a few years to get where she is at but once she started, she never looked back!

I've done yoga at my highest weight (256lbs) it was offered at my gym, healthcare facility and the YMCA.

As far as videos, maybe try a prenatal one? They are slightly different than typical ones...

I found even beginner way too hard at first when I was at my heaviest...then one morning on PBS i saw a yoga class for seniors lol it was awesome!! i did it every morning and really enjoyed it and then finally felt ready enough to move on to more challenging stuff -- the beginners was 'regular hard' after that

I agree with the yoga for seniors! Lilias! AM and PM Yoga for Senior is a DVD that I can mostly follow. It's when they get down on the floor that I have trouble.
