They strike me as old fashioned since thats how they used to be way back when, pre ww1 i think. I do know women started shaving their legs only due to lack of stockings and some would draw the line up the back of their legs to LOOK like they were wearing them.
hmm, that's the thing, I am not sure if I like it. I am trying to make the whole outfit more sexy lol and I am not sure if this adds to that appeal or not. I am used to wearing no nonsense pantyhose for a couple bucks at CVS lol
I'd definitely say these are a retro look... like the 1940's. I've also read that it's hard to get/keep the seams straight on the back of your leg. Sounds like a lot of trouble to go to if you ask me... particularly if you're not going for a retro look.
I love the back-seam look. I would probably go for actual pantyhose, though, not thigh-highs because those are harder to keep up and keep the seam straight. The pantyhose are not hard to keep the seam straight at all though. I've worn them to work before, and I get a lot of compliments. Also, another look I like is nude-colored fishnets. They're super-sexy, for some reason I don't think they look as trashy as black fishnets, and they look great with black dresses.
I love the look of the back seam heels, but best worn with a retro outfit. If you want the sexy feel but regular look go for silk thigh highs with a garter belt. Instant sexy.
I love back seams. I just think it looks incredibly sexy, and it's great if you have wider thighs. It's like the difference between vertical and horizontal stripes. I find that the back seam makes your legs look longer and more proportionate.
My legs are longer than my upper body, by quite a bit, but because they're fat they look short. I find that a good stocking with a nice back seam can make them look longer and slimmer.
Not really a fan. Doesn't go with my personal style.
Though a friend of a friend has a tattoo on her legs to make it look like she is always wearing them, so I can appreciate that some people are into it.
