I ran 5 miles tonight in under an hour...59:32 to be exact! That's the longest I've ever ran (so far), usually I aim for at least 2.5-3 miles per night and have done a couple of 4's when the weather was nice. I've been trying to keep my pace under 12 mins, lately even under 11. My first mile was 10:39 but it was sooo sticky and muggy tonight that 2nd was over 12 mins so I decided to pace myself and see if I could do 5 miles in less than an hour...and I did!!!
I do interval runs, sprint/walk/sprint so I'm really trying to work on pacing myself and running continuously without stopping. Really pushed myself the last 1/2 mile tonight, very desperate push to keep it under 60 lol.
