Default Does anyone else love to ride bikes?

We just got our bikes out of the barn, had the tires inflated, and went for a ride. It was so beautiful! The bike path went along a river through a woodsy area, the air was cool, the birds are singing, my legs are wobbly. There's a breeze in your face so you don't feel all hot and sweaty.

Does anyone else love to ride?

Oh yes! Biking is my main form of exercise. I ride 6 miles to school several days a week, and my fiance and I are planning a long ride on the Trail of the Coeur d'Alene this Summer. Doesn't it barely feel like exercising? lol, except up those steep hills. I'd love to ride along a river like that!

I'd love to ride a bike but living in NYC it gets kinda crazy. No wooded paths and no birds singing. It's more like, watch out for that friggin cab running a red light and no paths and exhaust fumes.

Definitely! We have been figuring out a way to get a toddler seat for our 3 year old onto the back of our bikes. Well, the ones sold in the store were either too small or sat too close to the bike seat. My husband, the ever creative genius, took an old car seat and mounted it to the back of my bike. Worked out like a charm!

We enjoy just going for casual bike rides soaking up the sights and sounds. The kids just love it!

Yes, exactly! It does barely feel like exercising! Especially when you can go on a bike path and you see different stuff than from the roads.

Wannabe, I've also done the city rides and they kind of suck, always having to stop at lights, etc. can you ride in Central Park?

Thnkthn, that's great with the kids! It's so much more fun to do it together.

We used to go on a path from our house for about an hour, stop and have coffee, then ride home. On the way out, I always felt so strong, and rode fast -- forgetting that it was slightly down hill! I paid the price going home, pushing hard in the lowest gear, lol.

This is one of my goals -- to be able to go bike riding again. We have lots of bike paths around here that were originally railroads that have been converted. But, I need to lose about another 50-75 pounds before I'll feel comfortable doing that. Oh yeah. I also need to buy a bike!

I love to bike, and just bought myself a baby blue cruiser I find that although it's only been two weeks, my legs are a little tighter and less jiggly.

I could but I'd have to get my bike to the park first from Queens. If I rode it I'd have to cross a bridge and ride in traffic first.

Yeah, that sounds like a drag, sorry!

We went 40 minutes up hill against the wind, and it took us only 25 minutes to return. Aaaaack! Fun, though.

Yes! I love my bike but don't get out on it as much as I should. I hope to do more this summer. I like to ride on our rail trail too - it's a paved path that runs through the woods and there are rivers and lakes along it too. It's so pretty!

I also love to ride on the mt biking trails too. We have a park with several different trails and it's so much fun!

Thumbs up

I like to bike too! I have to get a cap for my tire on my bike and then I will take my bike out. Right now my bike is sitting in my apartment collecting clothes, not good, I want to use it!

Thanks for the inspiration!

I used to ride a mountain bike--just loved it. Great exercise--and about the only time I felt cool was on the downhill sections ha.ha.

It is such a good workout - I need to get out there more this summer. I feel it everywhere after riding on the trails. I love the downhills but I also love that feeling I get when I conquer a hill after many tries!
