My stomach
I used to eat. and eat. and eat. and eat. I ate a lot. I would eat LONG past being full to the point of not even being able to move. It was not enjoyable and I am not sure why I did it. But I did. Tonight we had minute steak (cubed steak) mashed potatoes, corn and biscuits. I used to would eat 2 or 3 pieces of steak. about 2 or 3 cups of potatoes and 7 or so biscuits. No problem. Tonight I ate one piece of meat, half a cup of potatoes, 2 biscuits and no corn. I was stuffed! So what has happened to my stomach!!! Did I shrink it?

Great job...it sounds like the stomach has shrunk!
I actually feel a little sick now when I think about what some of my meals used to consist of. I'm pretty sure my smaller stomach would split open with what some of my meals consisted of.
Great job on portion control...mmmm...biscuits sound yummy. I don't trust myself around them yet.

I was just thinking about this today. I was feeling bad for eating so much today because I felt so stuffed - then when I remembered what I ate it was so much less than what I ate in the past that I spent much of my commute home trying to figure out what I must have forgotten.
Turns out I think I just get full faster now. Great problem to have.

It is great that you are satisfied on less than before. I don't know if it is mental or physical or both but it is great regardless!

Good job!!!!!
I was actually thinking about that on the way to work this morning! Years ago I would eat two sausage croissants, a side of hash browns, and a large soda from Burger King and would feel a little full...and that was just breakfast. I couldn't imagine eating that much in one sitting now!
Keep up the good work!

Way to go, Just B! Yes, your stomach shrinks along with the rest of you so you will feel fuller faster. Of course, it also can stretch right back out. You got my mouth watering when you described your mom's biscuits. Biscuits in the South are close to an out of body experience -- stopping at two would take some real effort!

That is awesome!
I had a similar experience a few months back with some Ben & Jerry's. Used to eat half a pint and come back later for more. Well a few months ago hubby and I decided to have a "spurge" dessert, and bought the little tiny single serving B&J. Much to my chagrin and delight, it was MORE than enough to statisfy.
YAY
