Default Flattering, modest swim suits

Hi guys,

Not sure if this is the place to post this, so feel free to let me know if I need to post somewhere else. Summer is approaching whether I lose this weight or not. I'm looking for some advice on where I can find some flattering, modest bathing suits. I'm thinking a tankini might be the best cut, but let me know your thoughts and stores I should try. Don't know if this helps, but I'm 5'1" about 151-152 right now.

Thanks!

I have seen what you describe in the Land's End and I think LL Bean, too, catalogs. They cost an arm and a leg, but they sure have a huge selection.

Thank you Gail! I'll take a look at the link and also post to the other forum section.

I'm thinking of getting a Catalina Suddenly Slim swimsuit from Walmart-I love the vintage swimsuit look so I think this one's for me.

Good luck with your search!

^ Love those swimsuits at Walmart! Very flattering, that's what I was going to suggest.

Love love love Land's End swimsuits! The underwire ones have great support for those of us who are "blessed in the chest"

I have had several 1-piece suits and tankinis over the years. Sign up for their emails and wait for a 25% off sale if you can. Sometimes they will also run $15 off a $75 purchase.

I ordered two of these last week and the M was too big!

I reordered a S in both the full one piece suit and the two piece. The bikini was the first one I've put on since having a baby, and...

other than the fit, it looked FANTASTIC!

I want to try this one from LL Bean, I saw it in the catalog and it looks awesome!

http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/72509...-scoopneck-top

It's shorts and a tank sold separately so it's like $80. If I'm investing that much I want to try it on in person. I only have LL Bean outlets near me (but still like 40 miles away) so I'd want to try it on and buy it rather than taking it home to try or order online.

I'm actually looking forward to more pool parties at my house this year. Who knew it was possible! But definitely not ready for anything sexy in the bathing suit department!

I personally like the one piece bathing suits., especially after I saw a picture of Beyoncé in a one piece black bathing suit. This is a young , beautiful woman who would be sensational in a bikini but she is in a one piece !

Over the last few summers, I've ordered some super cute suits from alwaysforme.com. Some of them are a little pricey, but they have good sale prices.

I love this style with the little skirts:

I need one too...but I need shorts that look cute (and I have a hard time finding ones I like!) or something that looks good with shorts (anyone else (chub rub, anyone?)....and supports my girls. I LOVE mine from last year from kohls but it won't fit anymore. Plus, I have no idea how much weight I'm going to lose this summer and I only want to buy one swimsuit! I do like kohls suits though, they have a good choice of modest swimsuits and I don't think I'll ever be comfortable in a bikini, no matter what size!

I ordered a retro black and white one piece bathing suit from Lane Bryant for the summer. I'm determined to go to the pool (since I haven't gone in years) and get a nice tan for a change. Trying to get myself outdoors more often.
