Default New Vegetarian SB'er

I'm starting South Beach for the first time. I don't eat meat but eat eggs, dairy, fish, and soy for protein. I realize soy products do have carbs in them and am just wondering if anyone uses Morning Star or Bocca. I am also going to incorporate EAS light shakes too since I was used to drinking them and easy since I am on the go with work. Fish for dinner. It shouldn't be hard to do this since I did lose a ton of weight before I gained post-opp a few months ago. It's just getting back on track!

Gardein makes a lot of really good stuff that is vegetarian and loaded with protein... I find that they have a slightly better nutrition profile than Boca or MorningStar Farms....

Welcome!

My DH and I eat primarily vegetarian. I use morningstar primarily as an addition to other dishes and use them less frequently than I used to. Of course, I'm P2, but quinoa is a staple for me and I add raw nuts to salads. I have an electric pressure cooker which really helps me keep different kinds of beans cooked and available. One of our favorite dinners is fried eggs with refried black beans, salad and whole grain toast or tortilla.

Best wishes!
