Stuck already?
My scale hasn't moved all week, luckly in either direction but it's SO frustrating last week was an amazing week. This week nothing. I haven't really been over my calories this week though I've been a little carb heavy this week "french bread every day" but within calories so maybe thats it or who knows why but it's driving me crazy lol

I have been having the same problem and I think I'm overdoing the carbs. I just started Weight Watchers and getting to eat fruit for zero points has been my way to stay within my daily points. However, if the scale is not moving I have to look at my carb intake and adjust. You might need to do the same.

I'm at a loss with the carb thing, I'll have to research it. Thats why I love just counting calories so simple but I think your right I might need to shake my body up for a bit.

I try not to take what my scale says too much to heart every day.
I weigh in on Mondays at my doctor's office and I swear the scale doesn't budge an ounce until at least Friday, if not Saturday. It's like it knows to get ready for weigh-in or something!

I've decided that I'm only going to weigh myself once a week and do the best I can during the week. I feel like maybe I won't obsess over the scale as much. I'm trying to be careful with carbs - all the Wonderbread is in the garbage. Best of luck to you!

Thanks punkrock, I was only weighing once a month but after buying a new scale and a constant down climb I got over confident with my ability to handle the scale. Bread is my true weakness so I will have to do my best lol

I've been talking about this a lot lately, but my weight loss pattern has become very very cyclical in the last few months!
I will actually "gain" about 6 pounds before ovulation and TOM- and then in between I will hit new lows.
Try not to get discouraged. It could just be a pattern.

Counting calories is enough for some. Some have to also account for their percentages. I loosely count, but I aim for a 50/30/20 mix per meal. Carbs/protein/fat. The carbs tend to be fruits, veggies, quinoa, brown rice. My fats and proteins tend to piggy back each other in the form of meats, cheeses and yogurt.
If you know the only change has been french bread, especially from a bakery, read and measure that carefully and keep in mind it may contain things you've been avoiding, white flour, sugars, additives. This weight loss and maintenance is a constant learning experience.

Thats what I was thinking Angihas2 it's really very hard to account for bakery bread "also happens to be my favorite" so I will try limiting it.

re:
Eating carbs has a tendency to add water weight to some people. You might be one of them. I like to eat extra protein and extra water to get water weight off.
If you're staying within calories I wouldn't be too down on myself. It will happen. You'll find throughout your progress that sometimes your weight may not move for a couple weeks at a time, despite being on plan. It's normal.
It's a sad mental trick weight loss plays on us when we're over 200 lbs. We lose weight so quickly at the beginning only to have things slow down over time or no longer be consistently losing 3+ lbs a week.

Hang in there, you'll be fine!
