PCOS Book, Diet Plan, and Birth Control
I have checked out a few books on PCOS, but the one I own is The Savvy Woman's Guide: PCOS. It's very useful and the format it's in is especially. There's even a detailed diet plan in it with "exchanges". The author even says that low-carbohydrate diets do seem to work for women with PCOS.
I also look at how she give examples of the birth control names with ratios that should not cause weight gain, but I am pretty sure it does depend on the individual and how their hormone levels are, and how they react.
It's such a useful, cute little book! Even though I am definitely going to try dieting, exercising, and natural supplements together before resolving to use birth control in order balance my hormones. Although, one would think that naturally your estrogen is going to be deficient if your testosterone levels are too high right? I need to look up more info on this.
