Talking Today's the Day

I have taken my measurements, and am ready to start my journey to better health. I tried to weigh myself but my scale doesn't go that high. So I guess now is a great time to break my dependence on the scale.

So happy to hear you are joining the ranks of Atkins!
I will soon be celebrating 9 years on Atkins and I can tell you, when its done correctly, it works! The key to doing it correctly is reading the book BEFORE you attempt doing the plan. I recommend Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution 2002 or prior additions because these are the ones Dr. Atkins himself wrote. Reading the book will make you understand exactly how & why this plan works.
If you have questions please feel free to ask!
You CAN do this!!
All the best to you!!!

Welcome! Glad you joined us. If you visit here often and participate you will receive the information, encouragement and motivation to be successful. Taking measurements is a great way to keep up with your weight loss success as, if you are like me, losing inches and my clothes getting too big are the best indicators as to my weight loss success. Atilins is a great program also. I must second the posting about following the plan exactly as it doesn't work if you don't.

I too have an obsession with the scale. This time I have arranged my pants in size order. I try on the biggest once a week. When I can button it and breathe at the same time , I work on the next size down.
I guess you can tell that I was a yo-yo dieter, owning pants in all different sizes. I hope that ends with Atkins

Oh my, the last post is my first since last year around this time when I did ideal Protein. My loss was fantastic, as you can see below but I didn't phase off properly and gained all the weight back.
I was 171 again when I started low carb just a few weeks ago. I decided to try Atkins because it is a lot more realistic than to rely on outrageously expensive packaged food. I hope this will be a lifestyle change that will last!!!!!!
