Hi Annie,
Have you had success with these DVDs? I recently had spinal/neck surgery. My neurosurgeon has forbidden me to lift any weight over 10 lbs. So I am looking for a fat burning, low impact exercise.

OOH! Look at all the new friends! So glad to see you all here.

Tubo, looks like you are doing it right, girl. Work your way back up and don't overdo!

Mantuagirl, yes, I have had great success with these workouts. I've had a fusion of my cervical spine and a lower back surgery, too. Mine were long ago, but I am VERY careful with my neck. None of Leslies videos use more than 3 pound weights, at least the ones that I have. If you've been cleared for low-impact workouts, I HIGHLY suggest any of her DVDs. Even the ones where she pumps up the action to hight impact for a short while are always introduced with the option to stay low impact. I have to stay low impact for my knees. You'll still get a great workout, though.

Hi Carol!!

Atarxia, welcome!!

Thanks for the response Annie. My mobility will continued to be limited for some time so these DVD’s may be invaluable. Best of luck with your knees.

2 miles w/4 pound weights (24 minutes)
Wii PT Easy Lower Body: 2 sets of 11 exercises (18 minutes)
50 inner & outer thigh lifts
50 butt lifts each side

I think I figured out my hip!!! I was fine for the last few days, then today I did the 5 mile walk dvd with the 2 minutes boosts after each mile and as soon as I started jogging my hip started hurting so bad. I think it is the jogging impact on it that is making it hurt so much. I didn't jog after I realized it was making it hurt but by then the damage was done for today at least. Next time I won't jog at all and see if it is better, if it doesn't hurt then I have figured out the mystery of the hurting hip, lol, I feel like Nancy Drew.

This is basically why I don't do the high impact. I bought the newest dvd for abs but there is a lot of jumping in it. I'll be 64 Sun. and I don't do well with jumps anymore.
