Default Water intake?

How much water do you drink a day? Sorry if this is somewhere else but I tried searching and found nothing. Thanks!

The guidelines for IP say 8 but you'll note the journal has boxes for 10 to check off. I generally 14-16 per day myself.

Whiskey or Vodka? 5-6 a day that's some incredible tolerance.

Just kidding.

Some people need more water than others. I used to drink a gallon every day when I worked in the heat...but then I also sweated a lot. Now I'm limited to two liters per day, plus what I sweat...which is hard for me as I'm a water drinker normally.

You could try monitoring the color of your urine. The lighter, the better. You don't want to get dehydrated, so dark is bad.

Someone suggested adding things to your water for flavor, like lemon, orange, cucumber, mint leaves, ginger...get creative. I do the lemon, have done the cucumber (let it set overnight in the fridge for best results) and even tried the orange once. I used to put mint in my iced tea, but it quit growing in my back yard.

Hope you figure out what works for you.

A minimum of 64 oz is required; my coach recommended 80 oz. Personally, I feel best when I drink 96-120 oz per day (3-4 L). Anything less that 3 liters and I feel tired, have low energy, get headaches, etc.

You are supposed to drink I think .5 oz per lb you weigh... I weigh 260, so I would drink half my body weight (in ounces, that is) in water a day. I don't really measure it anymore but I drink about 8, 16 oz bottles of water a day.

My coach told me to drink 2L or more a day (about 68oz). Personnally I carry a 24oz bottle with me everywhere and will drink 5-6 bottles a day. I used to drink only 3-4 but since I got some MiO (water enhancer) I find myself reahcing for my bottle more often!
