Default Oatmeal points question

I am confused about oatmeal points. For 1/4 cup uncooked it says 2 points. For 1 cup cooked it says 4 points. But when I cook the 1/4 cup it turns into 1 cup cooked (at least). So which one should I use? The only thing I'm adding to the uncooked oatmeal, obviously, is water.

Also, I use steel cut, if that matters.

My points plus tracker says that 1/4 c of uncooked steel cuts oats is 4 points.

I see what you are seeing when I search for "oatmeal" -cooked and uncooked. Weird. I would try to calculate points on the oatmeal label, if you can. Or search the tracker (online) by brand of oatmeal. Otherwise, I'd go with 4 points.

Thanks Maurene. I guess I didn't see there were steel cut oats on etools. But I will stick with the 4 points. Better to overestimate than underestimate, in my opinion.

Thanks!
