Default On the hunt for a perfect spring outfit

I am making myself crazy but you all knew that already!

I should be hitting (fingers crossed along with everything else) onederland by April 15th I hope. I assume Mother Nature will toss us a warmer day soon that we can shed the winter clothes and show off our new bodies.

Let me tell you, I have dreaded the spring coming every single year for a good 10 years as I consistently got larger and larger so I never had anything to wear and found comfort in my sweaters, sweatshirts, boots, etc.

Not this year!!

I am so excited to try and find a pair of capris and either a pretty t-shirt type top or a cardigan/sweatshirt type top with 3/4th length sleeves. I have it in my head what I want, I just have to put it together in a store with current or slightly smaller sizes to carry me through a couple of months.

The shoes I already have covered, I have so many pairs of strappy sandals and cute flip flop styles that I couldn't wear for so long. I have already tried them on about 20 times.

I feel like a butterfly breaking out of my cocoon this year. When summer ended last year I was still well into my 300s weight. What a difference a few seasons can make.

Anyone else excited for spring?!

Awesome outfit idea! It sounds so breezy and comfortable but stylish too. Love that combo!

I just got my Spring outfit myself! Emerald green jeans and a sheer white blouse with a slinky tank. I am just chuffed the jeans are a size 13, when I was a size 22 last year this time! What a difference a year makes, eh?

Bring on that warm sunshine with cool breezes!

How exciting!!! I love clothes. I'm sure you'll end up with something really cute for spring. I'm more excited for summer though. I have 2 weddings and a reception/wedding celebration to go to this summer and I need to find some dresses. Most of the people I know haven't ever seen me in a dress (except one time). Hope you hit onderland soon!!!!

Love your optimism Elvislover.

I have some gorgeous spring/summer dresses in my closet that I should still be able to wear (might need to take in the waist a bit). But I personally despair of ever being able to wear them. It's the end of March and there's frozen water in my bbq grill. This time last year I was USING it.

I CANNOT WAIT FOR IT TO GET WARMER! Sorry for the caps, but I couldn't think of another way to show my enthusiasm. Every time I jog, I imagine the cute running shorts I'm going to wear in the summer. And the spring dresses! Oh, the spring dresses. And jean shorts! And tank tops! BATHING SUITS! Ugh, winter can't end fast enough.

For the last three months, I have been repeating the mantra that "summer bodies are earned in the winter." Well, I've worked my butt off this winter (literally lol, I have cardboard butt now), and I'm ready to reap the benefits!
