Hey all!! I just signed up and thought it appropriate to introduce myself.
I'm a mid-20s student and I'm tired of being bound to my extra weight. I'm heading into my third season of playing roller derby team and no longer want to rely on my weight to throw people around on the track (although it IS fun). I've actually put weight ON since joining the sport and its really taking a toll on my endurance & ability to progress my game. I also have many more reasons I want to get healthy, but being strapped to skates in tiny spandex shorts a few times a week with a bunch of fit women is a really easy excuse to stop making excuses.
I recently joined WW online and have lost 27.4 lbs, mainly just by changing my portions, big breakfast smoothies and re-focusing my already vegetarian diet to mostly whole plant-based foods. Weight loss aside, I FEEL amazing - not like I'm on a diet at all
Anyhow, I'm looking forward to getting to know my way around the forum and all the support/awesome info while I continue on this journey.
