Default Cold all the time

I live in Canada, and it's pretty cold here right now, but I'm finding that my hands especially are on and off cold all the time since starting IP. Has anyone else had this, or is it maybe just my extreme craving for some warm mashed potatoes? Lol!

Many of us experience that.

It can be a side effect of ketosis, plus we're losing fat (insulation) and I'm drinking lots of cold water!

I'm cold all the time too! Last time I was losing weight I noticed it too. Just part of the process. Hot tea helps!

Got the same thing happening here. Go figure after all those years of being boiling hot due to all my extra "insulation" no my hands and feet are freezing most of the time. But I look at it this way - better to be thin and cold than fat and hot.

I live in Canada as well and I am always cold since I started IP.
I was going to ask the same question about always been cold.
I want summer but I am also afraid what's going to happen when this snow melts. I feel that my house may have a lot of water.

Yes my thermostat has been set a lot higher this winter, the more weight I lose the colder I seem to get and I use to always be hot!

I've always been a cold hand/feet person thanks to thyroid problems. But it has been worse on IP and it sounds like there are lots of people in the same situation. I remember googling something a long time ago that suggests that Ketosis can cause cold extremeties.

I've seen that too.
These types of diets can also be hard on thyroid so anyone not already under a doctor's care for thyroid, I'd suggest having it checked, especially if you are going to be on the plan more than 3 months.
I was way colder than I'd ever been & my thyroid numbers were way out of whack after 4 months on plan.

My kids use to complain it was too cold in the house (when I was still burning up) now they complain it's too hot!

only good thing? I hope this summer means I won't be too hot!

I am going to the doctor this week so I will mention it to her to test my thyroid.
