Default St Patricks Day!

My family and I love Corned Beef and cabbage for St. Patricks day. Is Corned Beef ok to eat?

Not on IP so I don't know the answer but this thread may answer your question(s).

After some more searching, it seems to be okay/on plan in small portions since it is higher in fat compared to other OP meats. Be sure to trim off ALL of the fat, read the ingredients in the brine if you are using it since some have sugar and other stuff. Also read some suggestions to make mock potatoes using cauliflower to go with the corned beef, just an idea.

HTH!

I had the same question, earlier I posted it in the daily thread. Soo I guess it's best to stay away from it this St Patricks day for me. lol

YEs you can have corned beef and I have had it before while on IP. Just make sure to trim all of the fat off of it. Also, try sauerkraut as a fun and quick cabbage substitute!
Im in a St. Patty's day parade so trying to get all of my beads together to throw!!!!

I bought a well trimmed brisket. Will brine/spice at home so I know ingredients.
Cabbage & rutabaga
DH has requested carrots so I'll use some juice & roast separately
