Day 2 of IP fatigue! help?
I am only am day 2 of IP and while I think the program is going to work wonders for me, I am feeling very fatigued. I am normally full of energy after work, but today I just want to goto sleep. How long does this usually last? Any suggestions? Tea? Vitamin B12?

I felt the same way (yesterday ..... I feel better today. It's your body going through carb/sugar withdrawl. Granted I'm not 100% nor having the extra energy I've heard about. I'm waiting until the second week until I get concerned.

Unfortunately, this is a side effect in the 1st week. It is your body w/d from carbs. It does go away and the energy will come. I always thought that getting to ketosis that 1st week was enough of a deterrant for me not to cheat and go through that again!! Good Luck!! It's worth it!!!

It will pass I guarantee! It took me from day 2 to day 4 to get past it but then everything got better. Yes, your body is getting rid of stuff and getting sued to low carbs and sugars. Just drink plenty of water and make sure that you get everything in including the sea salt and olive oil and of course the vitamins

Day 2 for me also and I am so very hungry, can't focus well, and just tired. At 6:15 pm I have gone through all of my meals and my snack before bed. Not giving up yet, though.
I am also thinking my body must be withdrawing from all of the junky carbs and diet coke. Not only withdrawing but add in all of this water, change in food and vitamins..my body is probably in shock
We can do this!

About the sea salt. It says to use sea salt with lunch and dinner but it is listed under "Compulsory daily additions" 1/2 teaspoon. Does this mean 1/2 tsp at lunch and then another 1/2 teaspoon at dinner? Thank you in advance!

It means roughly 1/2 teaspoon a day total.

Thanks everyone! One more question. On my sheet it has snack listed after dinner, does that mean I have to snack after dinner, or can I have my snack anytime throughout the day?

You can actually break up the meals/packets however works best for you -the sheet is a guideline, something you can follow to make sure you don't miss anything. If it works better for your schedule to have your snack at another time, that's fine - just make sure you get everything on your sheet - 3 packets, 8oz protein, 4 cups veggies, water, oil, salt, supplements - every day.

great, thanks! i had to force myself to eat the snack after dinner last night because i thought it had to be in that order. being able to mix things up is definitely going to make things a lot easier! Congrats on reaching your goal btw!

Welcome, jackhammejb, funstaffordmom, and pinkeetoz!!! You are absolutely right! This will pass. Get all of your packets, food, and supplements in. Also drink all of your water. Then relax, go to bed early if you need to for the first few days. You WILL begin to feel great soon! We have all been there! This program works if you stick to it!

Yup...hang in there. I am in my 5th week and feeling great. I do need a good nights sleep though, see getting enough rest for me is helpful in feeling well and combating hunger (I tend to crave food when I am tired).
