No progress for em this month although I did gain a pound or two in Cuba but then lost them. New month, new determination.

Same here without the trip to Cuba. Your non-loss sounds so much more fun than mine

I lost 7 lbs shy 1 lb of goal but I will take it. The true test will be if I can get past this 7 lbs- I have gained and lost the same lbs over the last year.

I started sbd last week lost 2lb. considering all the exercises and meal plan that I have been doing I thought its going way slower than I thought. I need to lose 20lbs and was hoping to drop the half of it in 2 weeks I can see some of you have been losing 5-7 lbs in first week. I wonder if I am doing something that I am not supposed to. can anyone post their weekly meal plan for phase 1? I am kind of disappointed with this actually.

Thank you for the help..

Meryl - many of us have a LOT more than 20 pounds to lose. If you are exercising during Ph1, the weight might come off a bit slower too.

If you do a search of the threads, we post weekly meal plans in there - you can look to see many Ph1 menus. or, start a thread and post your own menu and the chicks can help you if needed!

Meryl - I have at least 60 pounds to lose and lost around 5lb in the first 2 weeks. So don't get discouraged. And while some people do lose 10lb or more the first 2 weeks as Jenne has said, they usually have a lot more to lose then just 20lbs. In the book he even says that you won't lose that much if you have less to lose.

oh that is good to know. I thought whats what happening too but since the phase 1 is quite confident to make you lose 8-10 lbs I twas thinking tht would be the same case for pretty much anybody that fallows the plan. I actually did only 1 week, then cheated for couple of days, better to get back to it then
5 lbs/ week is really good btw. do you guys also work out too or just dieting?
thank you for the response.

Meryl - it is really REALLY important to do a clean, strict Phase 1. For two weeks. Not only will you get rid of water weight but you will eliminate cravings. Have you read the book? It's important to do so.

In Phase 1, I do not work out as I am too tired. Some do. I find that when I work out, I retain more water and don't lose as fast in those first two weeks. When I am regularly working out, I usually see a drop at the end of the month and gains in between. Be patient!

I only worked out once during the first 2 weeks as I didn't really feel like I had the energy and wanted to make food my priority for that time.
Since being on phase 2 I do work out 4-5 times a week and like Jenne my weight went up since I started and has only now started to drop again. But I know that this is common when starting working out as your muscles retain water.

I think measurement is more accurate than scale. I dont also see the difference when I weight myself but apparently I lost inches. I started phase 1 again as of today and hopefully will complete the whole 14 days. I like exercising bec. it encourages me to continue my meal plan too n it really does decrease appetite, at least my experience.
