Week 3 only lost 1lb on IP diet
Very disappointed, I've followed the diet with cheating at all, very diligent and only lost 1lb. The coach had no idea what to say. Seems very expensive for these results, could probably do as well on a low carb diet. Anyone else experience this?

What were your losses in the previous 2 weeks? It is absolutely normal to have a low week in week 3 or 4, especially if you had very dramatic results in the first two weeks. Your coach should also know that if you lost inches but not pounds, that is an equal measure of success on ANY diet. If you are following the protocol with no cheats the weight will come off. Just trust the program.

Because you don't have a lot to lose I imagine it will be slower. Just stay focused. I do agree that for the amount of weight you have to lose it is an expensive way to go. I have over 100 to lose so feel it is worth it. Good luck!

Sorry about the dissapointment, I think it is because you really don't have a lot to lose - I am 17lb from my goal and believe me it is dragging so slow, I wanted to switch to low carb so I can incorporate exercise but then decide to do this after reaching my goal as I have a lot of IP food products in stock, and I don't want to waste all the money I spent already.

I understand the frustration, but did you lose inches and not weight?

I also only lost 1 lb in week 3, and zero inches. The first week I lost 3 lbs and just over 2 inches, and week 2 I lost 1 lb but about 4 inches. My coach suggested adding some light walking in, about 20 minutes per day to get things moving. And, like Scorbett said, losses generally aren't consistent from week to week. Weight loss is definitely not linear. Be proud of your 1 lb, the scale is still moving in the right direction!

I try was diappointed with a 2 lb loss this week and have waaay more to lose than you. Guess we have to keep it in perspective. It is considered a "healthy" loss at this rate and think of a lb of butter....that is a lot! Keep the faith!

I really get frustrated that the promotion for IP used to be that you would lose 3-5 pounds a week. It sets you up for failure if you don't see those big numbers. After the first week or two, most people are only losing a pound or two a week so take heart.
However, people have different health challenges. Maybe, like Lisa, you have an allergy to some of the products, so you're not reacting as well. Maybe you're not taking in as much water, salt or oil as you need. Some people started taking their oil straight up, on a spoon (blech) instead of cooking with it to make sure they got enough.
Your coach and doctor will understand your body type better so check in with them if things don't improve. OR take the 1 pound a week and keep going. That's what weight watchers or anyone else would have you be losing to be a healthy weight. Good luck

I lost xx lbs! YAY!!!
I am lighter than I used to be!
If we follow the plan, we cannot control how quickly our bodies shed the weight.
NO MORE ONLYs!!!!
