Default My first mini goal

I'm just getting back on track with healthy eating after gaining back every one of the 42 pounds I lost on WW five years ago. This time, I have to make it permanent! My first mini goal is to lose 5 pounds by Groundhog's Day. I want to see a slimmer shadow no matter how much more winter we have coming

Not this time. I'm just using MFP to track calories and making healthy choices. Mostly lean protein, fruits, veg, lots of water and a little whole grain.

Sounds good. I'm a calorie counter too. I'm struggling with how many. MFP told me 1100 based on my goals. No way I can do that so I put the finish line farther away and did well at 1200 for a while. Now I'm struggling to do that. Doing more like 1300 and weight loss has slowed. What's your cal limit?

I'm doing between 1200 and 1300, but I have usually been eating my exercise calories too. It's a huge change from the unlimited shoveling of high fat over-processed junk I was doing just a couple of weeks ago!

I havnt been exercising much, just some walking, so you are ahead of me there. I was shoveling junk too. A lot of eating out and ordering in. An added benefit: saving money. I'm kind of tempted to order pizza tomorrow night to celebrate the return of hockey but I'm thinking it might be too risky. Don't know if I could keep it to one or two pieces. I wish you could get one slice delivered! I am gonna be super busy all day at work and then I'm gonna really feel like I deserve to order in. But that's backward. I don't deserve to stay fat!

Fluffypuppy: Pizza is a huge weakness for me, and we were going out or ordering in all the time too. No control over ingredients or calories! My exercise is just walking too right now, but I'm trying to do 30-40 minutes 5 days a week.
Penmage: thanks for the vote of confidence! I was at 197 this morning, so 3 more to meet this mini goal!

Maybe not the best but i do frozen pizza which gives me a more acurate calorie count. I dont think that i could go without pizza occassionally. The frozen does keep cravings inn control.

I was looking at Amy's frozen pizza at the store, but didn't want to buy till I read some reviews. Anyone try it?

Way to go Jennifer!

Do you like mushrooms? We often do Portobello Pizza's. Scrape out the gills then stuff with whatever ingredients you like. I like to use spinach, thin sliced tomato and green pepper and will throw some onion on DH's. Top with sauce (I use homemade) and cheese then bake. Hardly any calories and all the flavor of pizza.

Unfortunately, I'm not a huge fan of mushrooms. I've seen recipes for cauliflower crust; have you tried that?

I've seen the cauliflower crust as well and a lot of people seem to like it but we've never tried it. DH isn't a fan of cauliflower even though I sneak it in here and there but that may be pushing it a little bit, lol!
