Default Advice about fitness routine (upgrade/improvement)

Hi all

I am in need of advice... For the last 31 years I hated exercising. Last year in September however I made a new attempt, and started walking. I go walking at least 3x a week for 4 miles (4 miles per hour), and I like it.
Last week I started jogging, appr. 10 minutes during my hour of exercise
And afterwards everything hurt, my legs were heavy and sore... The next days I walked, but could not jog... And this is what depresses me - how am I to make progress and become fitter? Maybe doing more demanding cardio?

I am also watching the Biggest Loser. How do this people survive this? So many hours of exercise? And I am whining like a baby...
I would like to become fitter, and to do more. Weights, or more demanding aerobics... I could commit 5x week 90 minutes.... But somehow I wonder how I will manage, if I am always sore and my muscle hurt - and I am not overdoing it... it is simple jogging or weight training...

I would be grateful for you input...

Any new exercise workout will make you sore in the beginning. Just hang in there if you like jogging keep doing it. I would recommend to not jog/run every day when you start do it only every second day, make sure you stretch very well after a run, lack of a good stretching session will make you sore... Google after run stretches and you'll get a ton of examples...

You will manage just fine keep exercising it's good for you....

As for Biggest Loser, this is an extreme show and made for entertainment... They have doctors 24/7 monitoring them so don't compare yourself to them...
