Default Miso Soup

I just ate it at lunch, along with my sashimi. I really don't know anything about Miso soup except that I love it. I checked with the waiter ahead of time, no dairy, no sugar in it, they told me.

But now I'm worrying. Is there something hidden in Miso I shouldn't have done?
