I have a ton of ugw rewards, but nothing inbetween. I really love fingernail polish...I have a ridiculous amount. Maybe I'll start only buying one fingernail polish color for every ten pounds.
After I'm at goal, though. I want a whole new wardrobe, a tattoo, a new hair color, a coach purse. All of which I will not do until I'm there. It's something to look forward to.
The only thing I do is buy the next pant size down way before I need it and I keep trying them on until they fit. I'm too excited about the final goal to care much about the in-betweens. I have big plans for myself once I reach my goal weight and those will take up most of my spending money.
I think rewards for mini-goals is a great idea though. The bracelet will end up being a very beautiful reminder!

I rewarded myself along the way. Things like purses, jewelry or beauty products. One of my favorite rewards was a Clarisonic Mia! I waited till goal for really nice clothes.
When I thought I might want to try for 100 pounds, I thought a nice pair of 1 carat diamond earrings would be a great reward. I dangled that in front of myself all along. Then reality slapped me in the face when I looked at the price! LOL. I was with my cousin on Black Friday in 2011 and she kept trying to convince me to buy them - I actually decided 1/4 carat + 3/4 carat studs would be more practical (2 sets of holes in my ears) and still had a hard time with the price, even though it was less than the bigger stones. So then I decided that if I kept the weight off for a full year within 5 pounds, I'd consider buying them in 2012. Well, 2012 rolled around and the price is still high and I didn't buy them. Maybe next year. This will be my ultimate reward to just keep out there to keep me on plan.
In 2011 when I was done losing, I did reward myself with the sweetest set of interchangeable knitting needles, though. I'll keep thinking about the diamond earrings.
It's funny, I like the concept of a reward for meeting a goal or mini-goal but I've never come up with anything that feels motivating enough to work towards. Maybe I spoil myself too much? lol! Not really, I buy what I need, but I'm not too extravagant. But if I need something like getting my hair cut and colored, then I do that, because I need to look professional for work so I can't really save it up to be a reward.
Maybe I'm slightly pathetic, but I really love changing my ticker and getting a new chickie avatar every 5 lbs. Those are real rewards to me, because they make me happy when I log in and look at them. I just added a new ticker for my short term goal.
Do you reward yourself along the way or are you waiting until you hit your total weight loss to do something special for yourself?
If it looks like I'm going to hit my birthday goal (AND IT WILL), I'm going to do something huge and amazing for my 30th birthday this September. I don't know exactly what yet. I need to start coming up with something.
But overall, really just hitting those mini-goals feels amazing and super rewarding. Plus, I'm a brat and if I want something, I'd just go get it.
I think the charm bracelet idea is brilliant, not only is it cute and personal, but you wear it all the time which is a nice reminder when it comes to making those good choices! I don't handle things that dangle very well, but if I did, I'd be all over it!
My coworker always comes in with the cutest ones! We have a coach outlet maybe an hour or so away, and she gets them for like 1-200 instead of the 5-600 price tag.
I haven't figured out what my mini rewards will be this time around. I want to do a version of the weight loss jars eventually. My first tattoo was for losing my first forty the first time around. I am sure once I lose more weight, I'll be forced to get a new hoop due to losing inches which would be a prize in itself. Maybe once I hit XL, I can get some cool new hooping pants. That'd be exciting!
