StephanieM, thank you so much for posting that article. I used to think only diabetic people could fall into ketoacidosis. I test daily with ketostix, and today my result was 'large' to 'very large'. From now on I'm trying to keep my result 'small' to 'moderate'. I'm also making 1200 my bottom line calorie intake, and upping my carbs with fresh veggies that I bought today.
StephanieM, where did you post the link to the article, please?
I love how VERY accurate your measuring and counting is.
I have around 1200 cal a day and have enough veggies.....sometimes more cals like when I cheated, sometimes forcing myself to eat to that point because I am not hungry.
Thank you.
I am so glad your interview went well.

Ketostix tell you if you have ketones in your urine (ketosis), which is not dangerous. Ketoacidosis is a completely different thing, so no worries.
It's about a woman who almost died from doing too low calories and carbs. It's just a reminder that we should include lots of veggies in our diet to keep our carbs up and not be afraid to go above 1200 calories.
I eat roughly 1400-1700 calories and 20-40 g carbs a day and I'm losing, there is no reason to cut things drastically.
Thank you StephanieM and SugarSpell!
I had no appetite yesterday but after reading it I ate some grapes, cucumbers, olives, cheese and 2 tablespoons of peanut butter....before all that my carbs for the day were less than 15 and absolutely no desire to eat. Health first, never thought I would ever have to force myself to eat hahahahaa
Great info Ladies!
