Default Hi, new here!

I've just ventured onto this forum and am loving the wide range of ages and experiences to read through. I'm 31 (32 in February) and have a 2 year old son. My husband is about to deploy again and I am once again embarking on the "deployment diet." Really though, I'd like the weight to stay off for good this time and stop constantly thinking about food. We're going to TTC #2 when he comes home and I want to be in a good place mentally and physically when that happens.

So, just saying hi and I'll be lurking around here more often. Hopefully I'll post now and then too.

Hey emurph! I just hopped over to this forum after having recently turned 30. I'm thinking my weight loss goals will be more in line with the 30-somethings in this forum than the 20-somethings in the other forum working on their spring break bikini bodies.

I hope you'll join the 90-Day Exercise Challenge thread I just started - it should prove to be a good motivator!

Haha! I'm working on my "I want to feel good about chasing my 2 year old at the beach without putting on shorts or a coverup" body.

I'll check out your thread. I do need some exercise motivation. We bought a new house in May and have recently ordered a shed which will hopefully be delivered this week. Once we move some stuff out of the garage and the treadmill is no longer blocked by bicycles, I have no more excuses!

Thank you. I have a question: how do you all deal with feeling hungry?

Welcome to the forum emurph!!

GraceAlone. I eat! Actually, it took me about 5 days before I didn't have a headache and wasn't hungry at every moment. I feel like some of the hunger was in my head. Now, I eat enough during the day and at decent intervals that I am not hungry. There are occasions were I wake up hungry, but that just makes eating breakfast easier.

This is something I need help with too. I feel like I walk a fine line between being kind of hungry but I can deal with it and being so hungry my blood sugar drops and I snap and eat everything I can get my hands on.

Hypoglycemia runs on my dad's side of the family, so I'm going to attempt to plan snacks in with my meals. I've done that in the past, but they've always been carb heavy. I'm trying to focus on cutting back on carbs and having snacks that are higher in fat and protein to see if that helps.
