Trying to get the NOVA folks and some old friends together here but ANYONE's . This is the place to track your weight daily, weekly or however you'd like to do it, you can keep track of what you eat, your water intake, your mood each day, or just chit-chat. Come on in, the water is fine ... I promise
lets make 2013 the "year of me"! A healthy me
A happy me
A more active me
A motivated/motivational me
ME = me, you, us, them, we = the virginia belles!
Hi, im Joy
Im 45yo, married 27yrs, 3 kids- boy 26, boy 19, girl 13. Born n raised in the city but country heart n soul! I love the outdoors and being active. Over the past 5yrs that had gotten almost impossible for me to do with... Being put on prozac (scd), torn knee ligament, lymes disease, back injury.
I'm 46, married Mother of 5 (3 boys, 2 girls), 4 still in school, one girl married.
I did well when I first joined 3FC and then I just totally fell off the wagon, no excuse just didn't do what I needed to continue to do.
But I plan to get it all into perspective starting on January 3rd.
Thanx! Started july 7th, 2012 after checkup showed hi bp, hi chol n tri's and ortho surgeon said the word surgery! My clinic started a "healthy eating" class complete w/bloodwork ups! So became a calorie/macro counter and as close to a "whole foods" (diabetic) lifestyle as possible. The only # that was good was sugars but im predisposed to it so wanna head that off!
Joy, I was diagnosed with Type II diabetes in May of 2012. I always knew I was borderline but never gave it much thought. I was insulin dependent with the last two children so I knew it was only a matter of time. I am supposed to take metformin twice a day but I haven't been (bad I know) but I figured if I'm not eating and exercising like I am supposed to then why waste the medication and money. Honestly it wasn't helping even when I was taking it so we shall see.
Steph it is good to hear from you. We are doing well thanks. I was hoping to get our old group together. I really loved our daily chats and constant encouragement from most. ... If you aren't weighing any where on a regular I'd love for you to hang out here
edit: My weight stayed the same as yesterday 197.2 and I am truly surprised. Yesterday was a day of constant going. Our middle son turned 14 yesterday. We have never had parties for them because it was just too expensive but since we moved and there are tons of cousins here we decided to have cake and ice cream at my Aunt's. He was really surprised and though it wasn't a party it was still nicer than just having his sisters, brothers, mom and dad around. Then we went to church for an early New Years service, came home changed and went to my cousins wedding at 11pm. The boys had a lock in at church so I had to pick them up by 7am. I am pooped but it's all good because everyone is happy, which makes me happy.
Ok change of plans for the better, in 15 minutes I will be giving up/no longer eating most of what I love (junk, sweets, sodas, breads, rice and pasta)
I am off to a great start though getting up at 10:30a.m. does play a role. I am up .2 from yesterday to 197.4. I ate 3 boiled eggs for breakfast and I am drinking water from my 52oz bubba mug. So I'm off to a great start.
Hey everyone! I'm Amber, I'm 27 and have a wonderful 2 year old daughter. I have battled with my weight most of my life.. I started my weight loss journey Jan 4th 2012 at 225 lbs since then I have gotten down to 156lbs.. but after the holidays I am up to 165.. so that's a 60 lb loss for the year.. my new goal weight is 130. My New Years resolution is not just to diet but to change my lifestyle completely.. 3FC was with me for the 1st 60lbs and I look forward to being with ya'll for the next 35!!
I plan to do weekly weigh ins on Wednesdays each week.
01/02/13 - 165.6

Hi Amber and
on your weight loss so far, great job!
3FC was with me the entire time during my great loses. I haven't been here for a while and most (not all) of the people that I was with for 2 years have moved on.
You're right it just can't be a diet we have to make it a lifestyle change. I am just hoping that I can stick to this. We are limited on what we have to eat in here for the next couple of days so this is really going to be hard for me ... but I know I can do it, if I just believe in myself.
I'm going to make Wednesday my official day to change my ticker. I'll be weighing daily and counting calories, keeping carbs as low as possible.
