Default December ****Holiday Fitness**** Challenge

Ho Ho Ho the holidays are here and sometimes we make questionable choices. Why not add a little sweat to your day instead of sweets Yes this time of year we are rushed. But isn't it better to squeeze in some exercise now than make the dreaded New Year's resolution. Give the gift of health and fitness to yourself. Happy Holidays

Ok so last month was a bust! This month will be better!

5 - rest
6 - 40 minutes spinning 20 minutes kettle bells
7 - rest
8 - 50 minutes spinning 20 minutes kettle bells

10 - 1 hr 5 minutes cycling
11 - 1.5 hrs cycling

14 - 30 minutes spinning 20 minutes kettle bells
15 -
16 - 2 hrs indoor cycling
17 - 2 hrs indoor cycling

19 - 35 minutes cycling hey it's better than nothing
20 - cookie coma
21 - 35 minutes cycling

22-26 total slacker cookie eating load!

27 - 1 hr 10 minutes cycling DVD on spin bike

I'm trying to be better as well, aka: get yer butt outta bed early!

Goal - at LEAST 3 days/week, hopefully 4-5; I'm not so worried 'bout minutes

1 - Rest day (I did 5 miles yesterday, it was awesome!
2 - 30 min stationary bike
3 - 40 min run (4 miles) bike path
4 - 40 min st. bike
5 - RD - rest day
6 - URD - unscheduled rest day
7 - 45 min bike
8 - 0
9 -
10 - bad girl!
11 - cycling, 30 min did it!!
12 - 35 min run (3.5 mi)
13 - bike 30 min
14 -
15
16
17 -
18 - 30 min cycling

I am in hit my target last month for exercise and saw the scale go down as well so I am in again for December.

Goal: 1300 minutes

I didn't officially join but I have made a promise to go to the gym MWF this month for at least an hour. I do cardio/weights/core and still can't believe I'm doing this. I can even do the plank now although just for ten seconds - aiming for a minute someday.
So far I'm on track.

Been doing OK with going to the gym. Was way too tired Friday morning (after an evening with Leonard Cohen that went on until 1 P.M.) but did go in yesterday afternoon to do half my routine. I guess that counts.

Updated: Dec. 30

Did OK until the week before Christmas when thing got overwhelming. Between Christmas and New Year we had big dumps of snow so I did not go to the gym although I did do several treadmill sessions at home. January will be better.
