Default Bett vs Rutabaga?

So I looked up the nutrition info of these two and I'm curious why rutabaga is allowed but not beets?

Thoughts?

Not everything on IP is about carbs and calories. Nutritionally, they are very similar - that is true. But rutabaga is a more alkali-producing vegetable than beets, and part of the chemistry of IP involves putting your body in an alkali state.

It's the same chemistry that makes spinach a measured veggie and not an unlimited lettuce (spinach is an acidic veggie and can swing your body in the acid direction if you have too much).
