Thumbs up The difference 10 pounds can make

There was a thread that was resurrected a couple weeks back about "how much difference can 10 pounds make".

Well, I was just updating my large collection of pictures I've been taking throughout my weight loss and found a pic from 9/29 - I weighed 159.4. I took a pic yesterday at 147.2, admittedly that's 12 pounds NOT 10, but pretty close.

Anyway, I couldn't believe the difference. Maybe it's just me because I scrutinize things on my own body, but in the pic from 159 pounds those are size 10s, in the 147 pic those are size 6s! HUGE difference as far as I'm concerned!

Please excuse my obnoxious face in the pic on the right, I was feeling pretty smug about my new jeans.

Anyway, just in case you were doubting the difference 10 pounds can make, here ya go!

Please share if you have any pic examples as well!!!!! I love seeing people's comparison pics!!

Haha, I like the smug face! You earned it

Ten pounds, especially when you're getting closer to your ideal body composition, can make a HUGE difference. But heck, even between 250 and 240 I could see a change with ten pounds. Most of us can't lose 100 pounds, but we CAN lose five or ten pounds ______ times in a row!

Yeah! You look great! I noticed a huge difference for me between 155 and 145 too, not really all that smaller maybe, just I felt so "puffy" at 155. Congrats!

Wow!! I think my lowest low was 147, then I bounced back up to 156-157 at one point. I definitely had pants that didn't fit anymore. It's amazing to me how 10, even 5 lbs makes such a big difference in how I feel at this size. At my highest weight it was what, 25lbs for a size? So 5-10 was not even a blip on my radar.

Anyway, you look freaking awesome, smug face and all, and you rock those size 6's!!

Great job... but from the look of it... you probably lost more than 10 pounds of fat and just gained muscle. (even more impressive than just losing weight)

Aw man, I know I shouldn't compare but I'm always so blown away by how quickly you've progressed! We're the same height and our starting weights were really close and yet it's taken me more than thrice as long to accomplish what you have.

Only, really, I'm not here just to have a pity party. That 12 lbs is a huge difference! You look fabulous. You're a wonderful inspiration, Lockitup.

Lady! You look AMAZING!

I agree with the other poster that you likely lost a good deal of bodyfat AND gained muscle. Great, great work!!!
