Thumbs down one pound a week #2

OK, the one pound challenge worked last week. Everyone who joined in last week is welcome to join in again! Also, any new people! Sometimes it's hard thinking about losing all of the weight. But if we lose one pound every week, we'll all get there eventually.

And if you want a smaller or bigger goal, that's fine, too!

Next week the scale will read 177.5. Mmm-hmm!

No problem, Diana. I saw your post. You can do it this week!

OK, the past two days have been really good for eating. Today is so-so. Think I'll end up around 1800 calories. (I try for 1500 or less.)

Went out to dinner w/ my husband and I DIDN'T INDULGE. I ate half of everything. One thing that gets better with time is we get less hungry. There was a time when I would have eaten everything I ordered at this particular restaurant. Now I just CAN'T.

OK, five more days. Let's hang tight!

In again, though I'm expecting no miracles. I was at 208.8 so will hope to hit 207.8 by next Friday. Going to be tough as tomorrow's my b.d. Celebrated w/family today and made pretty good choices. Hope can do same tomorrow.

Happy birthday, Anagram!!! Get any good presents?

Christie, I hope you have good news.

I've been eating well this week. Today I am splurging a little, but doing so consciously. Back on track tomorrow, and weigh-in Friday.

Take care everyone!

So, I weighed in today and was at 207.8. I'd like to say I've met my goal since that's what it was. However, it was before breakfast and I usually weigh after. So surprised to see it though as I've had birthday cake a few times this week. Either way, whether it stays or not, I was happy to see that number. Once I see a new number like that, however briefly, I can hope to see it again on a more permanent basis.

Did get some lovely gifties - best was probably a new outfit from DD that fit perfectly and was two full sizes down from my starting size and still pretty loose.

Christie -- Yay again for your loss! I saw it in the NY thread, too. You really have gone a long way.

Anagram -- New clothes that fit loosely are the BEST gift, aren't they? Two sizes down is great progress.

I lost 2.5 lbs. this week.

Next week's goal: 175.

Default challenge

Well I am new, but have been off line for a few days. I did great last week. Lost 2 pounds. I think getting off the insulin has been a big help. I am a type 2 diabetic. So I am down to 170 @5'4". But then you come to this afternoon and I ate 700 calories worth of chips.... stress . But the fact am recording this in my food journal is BIG. So I will have about 400 calories the rest of the day and be at 1500. So I think I will repair the damage.

Hi Fern!

Yeah, I know what you mean about the journal. If we keep track of calories, then every once in a while, pigging out is no biggie b/c we can still keep track of how much we eat. I do that too. Good for you for sticking with it even though it's difficult.

I started a week #3 thread... see you over there!
