I don't know about you girls...but I always want to be slimmer during the holidays. I am around a lot more people, including relatives that I haven't seen in awhile. SO, Ive set some goals. I really want to be at least 144 pounds by Thanksgiving and 134 by Christmas. I know I have to focus, drink my water, and exercise. But I know it will be worth the effort..when the holidays roll in! Let's set goals for this short period of time!

I'm with you on this one!! My goal weight is actually 145 so in six weeks i'm shooting for my goal weight, i need to drop 2.3lbs a week for the next six weeks!! Let's do this!!!
Last year I lost most of my total weight from Nov 1 to Dec 31...it can totally be done during the holidays. I've been maintaining for 6 months and am getting a little nervous about the holidays...last year I didn't indulge in a single bite (okay, one cookie on Christmas eve, but that was it). So my goal this year is to lose 5-6 pounds between now and Thanksgiving, putting me about 5 lbs under goal...then maintain through, well, forever
I'm on board for this one, too! 10 lbs by Thanksgiving and 20lbs by Christmas which means I can start stabiliation on Jan. 1st. What a great way to start the new year!!
I have set a goal of 20 pds by Thanksgiving and another 20 by Christmas. I have been on plan since mid July and am down 28. This will put me within 10 pds of final goal.
I plan on losing 1.7 lbs each week thru the holidays. It will be hard to keep from gaining weight on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but I believe I can do it.
At this point I just want to make it through the holiday season OP and see what I can accomplish in terms of weight loss.
I'm supposed to be done by end of December but my progress has been SO slow that I'm not sure I'll get to my goal. I've got 10 weeks to lose 50 lbs? Yeah that's not realistic at all given how slow the weight has gone.
Meazie: My weight loss has been slow, also. It has taken me a year to lose 77 pounds. But, I have not focused as much as I should have the past couple of months. I knew I was getting close and that I still have about a month on my contract. Also, I think my body has decided it likes where I am and doesn't want to budge much. So, I am going to keep chugging the water and try to stay on plan. I am going to begin the stabilization process in November and will actually start stabilization around Dec. 1. I am below what my original weight loss goal was by about 10 pounds and feel great. So, don't be too hard on yourself. Some lose slow and steady while others go in leaps and bounds. You will get there if you stick with it.
I want to get to 145 lbs by Thanksgiving and maintain that through the holiday season. If I feel like I still have a little more to lose, I'd like to get down to 140 by the end of the year. I let myself eat whatever for one meal on Thanksgiving and once again on Christmas. I just don't count calories that day, I won't eat 5 pieces of pie but I will eat macaroni, mashed potatoes, dessert, etc and not feel an oz. guilty about it because I do it 2 times a year
I am planning to fix the regular holiday dinners, with a few additions. We will have the MRC Cheesecake, topped with strawberries and sweetened greek yogurt for a topping. I will make the pumpkin pie with splenda and fat free condensed milk (the receipe is for diabetics). That way I can have dessert. I will probably have to taste the pecan pie, too. I can't think of a way to make it op. But, turkey, green beans, salad, 1/2 a hot yeast roll and some raw veggies with the yogurt/ranch dip sounds good right now! I will need to dig out my receipes from my classes last year and see what else I figure out.

My goal is to go from 189 to 150 for the wedding and then down to 130 by February 2013.
That's 17 weeks on the program. The MRC Staff said that if I follow their plan I WILL make it!
I am getting married on television!!! So, I HAVE to lose this weight!!! I wonder if we can post video blog updates here. I'm creating them with every weigh in until I reach goal!!
