Question those stubborn last 10-20pounds..

I am officially down 90 pounds woohoo! But now I want to loose that last pounds at least 10 but more likely 20 pounds. I have been in the 140's since late July so this last 10pounds have taken much longer to loose, but it still came off. I am wondering for those that got down to their goal weight did you have to change anything to get those last stubborn pounds off?

My WOE is low carb, I keep my carbs under 25g/day. I have not focused on calories as much but I am thinking that I may need to do calorie counting as well. I will not go back to eating white flour, sugar or starchy foods, not coming back into this house ever, lol.

Anyway, my question is did you find that you needed to change things up to loose those last pounds? Oh and I do plan on adding some weight lifting to my routine, but will have to wait till my son is done with football(not enough time in the day between work and 5 day a week practices that I have to be at)

I'm down to my last 10-15 as well. It's very hard to create a calorie deficit when you're so close to goal. I'm happy if I average 1/2 pound a week.

Getting more exercise will help, and it will make you feel better, too.

Congrats on your success!

If you have not been exercising much, then weight lifting might be exactly what you need to burn off the rest of the fat you want to lose. I don't know what to tell you- I keep losing and gaining the same 5-10 lbs!

Losing the last 10-15p is very hard. I'd suggest cardio and weights. HITT works well.

Great advice you got here. I'd like to add that when you start a new exercise routine, your body might hold onto water like a sponge, so don't be discouraged if the scale still doesn't budge or if you see a little gain because it's just water. You might be losing fat but gaining water so just hang in there. Congrats on your progress!

I can imagine being so close and having such a hard time with it. Just hang in there!
