I am starting to feel that I will never see 239 on the scale looking back at me.

For me, 240 was a big milestone because it was a weight I had hovered around for abou 15 years before gaining another 30lbs following an illness. It took *forever* to get past it. What helped me is to set a goal just to get there and to allow myself a reasonable time to reach is, say, 1/2 lb a week? And then to set a strict plan that I would follow for just that goal. You can do it! And more!

I go down to 242 then back up to 247. I am so frustrated with everything and nothing these days. This whole separation/pending divorce has really derailed me.

THIS! This is what drives me nuts!
I feel your pain. I think our bodies hold on to a weight even when we're doing everything possible to break up with it. And then whoosh! There it goes.
Make sure you're getting enough sleep. My best friend will be eating everything perfectly but if she doesn't get 8 hours, she shows a gain at the scale.

Aww, SmallSteps! I so know how you feel! I hate this bouncy weight. Up and down, up and down. And it seems like the minute you think it's going to keep going it just bounces up again.

Yuck. I am doing the divorce thing too. It's no fun.
I think 239 is right to be wary. You say you dream of him. You will work to be with him. But you're really just looking for a short-term relationship. Maybe even a one-night stand. He can't face the pain. Give up on 239. I saw 238 winking at you. He's a better catch anyway.

I can completely relate to you on the separation/divorce really messing with you mentally (which can sometimes affect you physically). My divorce was final in February and up until that point it was hard to lose any weight because I was so strained mentally (however, I wasn't eating right either and that was a HUGE factor). I finally got it together when I got my mental faculties back in order. I had to heal my mind first, get my focus back on track, and set my eyes on MY health and happiness. I'm sending you positive thoughts and energy! You will get through this and come out on the other end happy and THIN!
