Default What is your favorite jean brand

I need to go out and buy some new clothes before my trip to Florida next month. I was just wondering does anyone love a specific jean brand?

I love blue jeans but I can never find any that fit just right. It has actually become a nightmare to go out and try to shop for a pair.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This is going to sound silly, but I'm really digging Lauren Conrad's jeans, as of late. You can find them at Kohls.

I just LOVE the way they fit. Right now, I wear a 14 and a 14 is a 14 with LC jeans...they're the perfect length (hard to find) and a PERFECT fit. They're pretty pricey at $60, but they're usually always on sale for about $30...they have a summer line right now. The jeans are lighter and stretchy, but they're still quality and very comfy.

Right now, I'm really into Zara jeans and H&M to a lesser extent (for flare leg/trouser leg jeans) and New Look or Levi's (for slim fit straight leg jeans).

When I was in plus sizes, I REALLY liked Lane Bryant Right Fit Jeans (especially the trouser leg/flare leg cuts); I found them to fit better than the more expensive Seven jeans, LB also carried. Also another tip with LB denim, I found the "special" styles they sold on the hangers always were nicer/fit better than the generic folded kinds they had on the shelves.

I also had pretty good luck with I.N.C. jeans and Michael Kors denim (both available at Macy's) and Jessica Simpson jeans (from Fashion Bug). If it helps any, I'm an apple, so we may or may not have the same requirements in jeans).

The perfect jeans totally depend on your body type. I'm a very short hourglass with a lot of junk in the trunk and a very small waist, and the best fit for me are Lee Comfort Fit straight leg jeans. The bonus for me is that they're not unreasonably priced, and I can often find them at discount stores. But different jeans work for different bodies for sure. I can't wear any Old Navy jeans, for instance.

Yup, the perfect jeans are the ones that fit, and even among women of the same height and weight, body proportion can make a huge difference. I look great in a certain cut of Levis, and terrible in a certain cut of Carrhardts. One brand that looked good on me at one weight (Ann Taylor) is unflattering to me now, because my proportions have changed asi have lost weight and more fat has shed from some areas than others.

All three brands I recommend trying, btw... But no thoughts as to how good or awful they will look. It really must be trial and error. As of late I'm digging my Motherhood Maternity jeans, but I obviously wouldn't recommend those to most folks, either

I have done ok with the plus size jeans at Wal-Mart: Faded Glory and Just My Size. The best fitting ones were some Lee jeans that I wore when I was at 140; but that was 23 years and a birth ago.

Unfortunately trial and error is the only way right now to find what fits you best at this time.

Happy Hunting!

Been wearing Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda jeans now since about size 18 and gotten some compliments on them. I was never the stretchy jeans type, but these seem ok - and they're relatively inexpensive (around $20)

Try on some Not Your Daughters Jeans. They have them at Dillard's and Macy's.

Like Vex, I love the Gloria Vanderbilts too, particularly because they come up above my natural waist so they suck in all the flab. I can squeeze into their 12s, the 14s fit fine, but if I decide to wear a really tight top I go with the 16s because now they come up to just under my bra line. It's like wearing Spanx without the annoyance. I get mine at Costco, they are about $18 a pair there.

Right now I'm loving NY&Co jeans - their curvy bootcut ones. I have such a hard time finding jeans that are big enough in the waist to not give me a terrible muffin top but still tight enough everywhere else to stay up when I walk. I hate that with other jeans I constantly have to pull them up. Their jeans run around $50-$60 but they have awesome sales all the time, I just got 6 pairs for $100

I love my Liz Claiborne slim power boot cut jeans from Penny's. They were expensive when I bought them - sixty some dollars, but that was a year ago and I need new ones. They only sell them at Penny's and on QVC anymore. I'm a hourglass but heavier on the bottom. These jeans are long but perfect for me at 5'8" with Danskos.

Salon Z at Saks carries sizes 14 to 24... They have a lot of really nice stuff, including denim... James Jeans and Lafayette 148 New York are two brands that I like... But my favorites are from Just Cavalli, and he makes very cool tee shirts that really work well with them for a nice casual look as well....

I've found my last two pairs of jeans (20's and now 18's, yay!~) at JCPenny's. They fit fine, and they were both under $10. It seems that JCP is always having a sale on plus-sized jeans, so I keep going back to them! They're a bit long, so I hemmed them using a bit of liquid stitch, which works great!
