Talking Just Starting MRC

Good Morning I have just started MRC. I am on day 3 of conditioning and go in today for food and menu class. Any suggestions to the best HNS and suggestions as I start the program. I am so highly motivated, but feel I will need support from others on what to expect and if I am feeling the "norms" of what is to be expected.

Thank you to all your new friend Tamara

Welcome Tamara,
I have been on the program 3 weeks. It really works. Just follow the plan. I lost 8 pounds in preconditioning but I didn't cheat any. All the protein drinks are good to me except the blue one. I have a weigh in tomorrow. I hope I have lost 3 or 4 pounds!

Welcome meazie and congrats on your weigh in.

That is awesome Meize and Cmarty. I am really looking forward already to next weigh in on monday. I have had my first breakfast off the yellow menu and I feel great...I am not sure if the blueberry melba toast is off protocol but it was only 40 calories. it sure helps with the sweet tooth. I had the orange HNS and it was like HI C Orange...

I've been surprised at how much I like the HNS drinks...well, except for the powdered ones. They just don't mix as well as the concentrates, so I'll stick with those.

Sounds like you are doing great! Just check your melba toast for any added sugars. You don't want that.

Have you tried a blender bottle/shaker bottle for the powder ones? I find it helps with some of the chunks

I use a blender bottle to mix them and if you mix it and let it sit for about 5 mins then even those tiny floaters dissolve. My favorite is pink lemonade so I couldn't live without the powder ones

Good tips on the powdered HNS. I tried my Magic Bullet but it made it too foamy. So far I'm sticking to the liquid ones, but did buy some powdered initially so I'll try a shaker bottle. Thanks!

If you mix the powered ones with lukewarm water, they mix very good. Do not add ice until after you have mixed it very good. I love the peach-mango, lemonade and pink lemonade. My favorite liquid ones are mixed berry, kiwi-melon, grape and the orange is not bad.

JodiH - Thats too funny that you mentioned that about the warm water with the powdered hns.... I learned by accident a couple weeks ago that if you mix hot water in with the chocolate pudding hns, it tastes very close to hot fudge... mmmmm!

Peach Mango is my favorite powdered "clear". Chocolate Pudding is my favorite powdered "creamy". The hot fudge sounds delightful!!! I'll have to try it
