Waving faintly desperately. Hello to anyone who remembers me.
It's been a manky kind of year, work a bit strenuous, dogs dying, me pursuing various health issues, chief of which "Do I have lung cancer?" - it now seems probably not, got a recall in September/October to check, but the stress of the investigative process was intense. Oh yes, and - completely out of the blue - I now have someone I'm learning to call "my partner"...... Wow. Apart from some hesitant and unsuccessful forays into online dating (and newspaper dating before the internet was invented) this is my first relationship in 36 years. Wow. It's nice.
However, I've let my weight run rampant again, and peaked about 10 days ago at 219.2, tho today down to 214.8. So, here we go again. I'm going to read around and see how everyone else is doing; maybe look for a Christmas challenge to take me forward.
Rosinante, I remember you too! and your travels, and worries about small dogs who were getting older, and how well you did overall. It's great to see you! Sounds like a lot of water flowing under the bridges this year...
Welcome back! I remember you definitely! I'm sorry about your dog, glad that your health scare seems resolved AND that things seem to be looking bright for you this summer!
welcome back! I remember you also. I'm sorry to hear about your dogs (you had quite a few older ones, right?) but I'm so glad your health scare is just a scare. Congrulations on your new partner.
I wasn't here before, but your username makes me smile...and want to go see Man a la Mancha...That has to be one of my favorite musicals...
...what was I saying before I saw something shiny? Oh yeah, welcome back and good luck! Sorry to hear that your year sucked, but it it can only get better now, right?
Back Rosinante! I remember you. Sorry to hear about the loss of your dogs. Happy to hear you don't have lung cancer. Having a partner can help you get through the rough times in life. Good Luck, with your weight loss.
