Well, damnit, I bought another pedometer. I went out yesterday with DH to buy a new battery and left the damned thing at home... had no idea what battery size to buy. So I thought, "Screw it!", and splurged on another 20 dollar pedometer. (same brand) DH wasn't happy, but I was ready to burst into tears at the thought of having to go home again.
Now I've got my trusty pedometer clipped on and am feeling a little more in control.

I was on the treadmill...my butt was draggin for the first 15 min. then I don't know what happened I found my mojo, hit the wall , found my stride whatever...I just got into the music and started running. The more I ran the more I wanted to run... ended up running for 45 minutes
I felt so good! so alive! What a great strees reliever. Not sure if I was running away or running towards something. It was great!~

Well girls, I promised DH that if the Y was open today we would go. To my dismay, it WAS open. I did half an hour on the bike, and a good 45 minutes on the Life Circuit machines. I can barely type. My arms are KILLING me! I've just picked myself up a little (okay, a big) treat, because D-day isn't officially until tomorrow. I AM still on holiday. At least I've kick-started my body...
Oh, and so far my pedometer is reading 8870 steps. Just going to have a little lie down with my snack and book...

Ellis and sflake! My goodness! You guys are terrific!
I will prbably use my backup pedometer (same brand too, Ellis!) - had got the girls each one and never gave it to them...they are not a good brand anyway, which will be my excuse for not giving them the backup ones! Anyway their mother needs a pedometer more than they do...
Played tennis today with girls and DH, and ran a tiny bit (younger DD ran a LOT, she is a very good distance runner and did about 2 miles to my 1/2 a mile). More tomorrow, I think, as they will be in SCHOOL!

I walked today. To the waterfront. For RibFest.
And then....I walked HOME.

Ran for 15 minutes and it d**n near killed me! Walked some of it too. And walked the school route, 4 round trips, with pedometer. Will sleep well tonight!

Ya know, it's the weirdest thing. I posted that on Monday, then *poof* it was gone for the last few days. Now it's back.
ellis, yeah, I figured I'd TRY to offset some of the caloric value of the ribs, sweet corn, and fully topped baked potatoes....oh, and the fresh-squeezed lemonade... It was a couple of kms round trip. And worth every finger licked.
I started a walking club at work! Every day at noon, we walk for 30 minutes, then we still have a half hour to eat lunch. This accomplishes two things, I get my exercise AND I take my full lunch instead of 15 minutes to eat and back to work. So far we have four people, which is great because if one or more can't go there's still company. AND we're all watching our food, too, so I'll be more accountable at work.

A walking club at work... oh, you clever girl, you!
Pretty much everything you ate at that damned ribfest is NOT on my diet! I haven't had a potato or a cob of corn in MONTHS!
Okay, exercise. Right now I'm at 13 700 steps on my pedometer. Damned good.

Frass, Ellis! Go to bed and turn the damned thing off or you will be completely unbearable tomorrow!
Good Night!
