Giving Up? ....talking like that sounds like you are only in it for one race. You've run and your not going to make the finish line.

The reason why the majority of people are here is to change their poor eating habits and get back in control of their body and look after it by good eating habits and exercise. That's a change for life, that's the race we run every day, every week and every year.

Along the road there will be obstacles, bumps and god knows what, but giving up means one thing.... you don't move forward, you will only end up further away.

If what your doing feels like a chore, then you need to look at other options. We can't eat all the crap foods that do all the damage, but we can still eat well and enjoy food.

It's more like I'm running and making zero forward progress. I've not made it 5 lbs into the journey after months, let alone have some finish line in mind. At least when I actually run, I move forward. I see my times getting faster every week, the changes I make show up in my body.

The eating? The monitoring of calories, the cutting of this, the adding of that, the percentages of macronutrients - zero results showing on my body. That's ZERO. Not, oh poor me I only lose .2 per week, or one pound a month. I was losing ZERO.

I emailed my nutritionist to let her know I wouldn't be back for a few weeks (I have 2 more visits I've already paid for) and she wrote "Weight loss is not necessarily about calories but more so what the composition of those calories are Fat, Carbs, and Protein." REALLY? This is what she told me at our first visit over a month ago when she had me change things up. Guess what it did? NOTHING. I think she honestly has no clue what she is talking about and that is her stock answer.

And I only have so much desire to monitor numbers in my life. The numbers I want to put my energy on are my running speed & distance, bike speed, swimming stamina (triathlon training), household finances and business. Calories and percentages? not so much. Especially since when I put effort into those other numbers they actually change.
