I'm back on plan too. Didn't do too bad myself, was able to resist the desserts. But you know what I ate? potato chips and Mom's homemade macaroni salad. LOL. I didn't pig out, and I have to say I am glad I ate it. Today I'm drinking lots of water and eating lots of tuna!

i fell completely off starting at the end of June. Stress got to me and I decided not logging calories, gluttony and not caring was the answer. I am so ready to be back!

I was able to work all the goodies into my calories (hotdog, apple pie), and I got a workout in. It reminded me how little food you get for the high calories though! I'll take my pile of healthy food for 1500 calories, over that tiny amount of crap I had yesterday, any day.

I had grilled flank steak with tomatoes/balsamic, a huge kale salad (my favorite recipe with feta, onions, tomatoes and pine nuts), and some vodka limeade.

So, per usual, food is fine, alcohol is my calorie killer.

I never went off plan, but your reminder is an excellent one! Holiday or no, not letting these events go past their designated days is an excellent way to enjoy food without ending up ten pounds heavier

I overdid it on chips and cake and pasta salad, but didn't drink too much like everyone else at the BBQ did. They must be HURTING today!

I kind of want to die thinking about eating anything other than salad today >_<

Yesterday, I ate well, but my husband and I did it up for our date night on Tuesday. We went to a recently opened restaurant (run by one of the former contestants on top chef) and had a fantastic meal. I made good choices within the bounds of the menu, but went over my WW daily points and used a bunch of weekly points. So I am definitely back on track after that meal, but have no regrets. It was terrific.

I also overdid it slightly but mostly stuck to my low carb diet and walked 6 miles to make up for the excess! I'm heavier this morning but it'll even out hopefully as I get back on plan.

I'm new to counting calories and I am only on day 4. Yesterday was the hardest temptation I have been through so far. My husband volunteered me to make my family famous potato salad. It was so tempting to taste it to make sure it was perfect but I didn't do it. Instead, I made my husband do the dirty work and I had one serving spoon of potato salad at the bbq with two tablespoons of green beans, on chicken wing and a small piece of rib meat. I ate a salad before we went to the bbq too so that helped me keep the portions down on the not so healthy food. I'm not sure how many calories I took in but I know I did way better than if I were not calory counting. I would have never had the salad if I wasn't counting calories. I have learned quickly that I get a much bigger portion of healthy food for the calories than in unhealthy or junk food and I like the healthy choices because I stay full longer. Also, I eat my last meal of the day at around 5-6 and not another bite after that. I used to eat my last meal between 8-10 so that has been quite a change for me. If I eat the right foods I don't get hungry later though. Anyway, when I got home I walked on the treadmill for 40 minutes and I was even able to do a little jogging towards the end.

It sounds like you all did very good yesterday so congrats on that! It really is something to celebrate. The small victories is what makes the great success stories!

Back on plan! I didn't intend to go off plan in the first place... but **** happens.

I'm just glad that I didn't have any alcohol, otherwise I would be really hurting today and getting back on plan would have been hard with a hangover!

I was so proud of myself for not straying yesterday. I thought I was going to want to eat with wild abandon, but I just couldn't see going that route.

It certainly helped that my family went to a seafood place. I got a nice, large serving of grilled salmon with some crab legs. Very tasty and nutritious! There was so much fried stuff on the menu, but I was glad they had grilled options and jumped at the chance to get salmon!

I actually wound up under calories yesterday because I had budgeted for a bigger meal at the seafood place. But seriously, how can I pass up grilled salmon?
