Default Obese a year to save my life

Did anybody watch this on Pick TV last night?
I have to say the approach of the personal trainer in this series is amazing. Although he clearly don't take no sh*t he is one of the few trainers/coaches etc that I have ever seen who GETS why people end up so overweight they can't enjoy life, or play with their kids etc. He doesn't sit in judgement, just quietly says" this has got to change"
I thought the bungee jump was genius. Without sitting down for hours going through boxes of tissues he managed to get her to overcome her past experiences and realise that life is for living.
This woman managed to fit in 4 hours a day of exercising, as well as working full time, having a 4 year old child and a partner who worked away.
She lost 10 stone 9lbs and still had a bit to go but the difference was staggering. I guess for those of us with a great deal of weight to lose it gives us hope that it can be done despite life sometimes kicking us in the *** when we are trying our best to change ourselves.
Phew long post! Sorry. More dancing broccoli!!

I'd love to see that - I love weight transformation shows. I'm a massive fan of the biggest loser, and a bit in love with Jillian Michaels haha.
But I do wonder, is four hours of exercise a day really good for you??

I saw it was on and considered it watching but didn't. For some reason I worry I won't find these sorts of things inspiring, and will just end up feeling worried and bad. Like, I worry if they will be just too close to the bone. Sounds like it really worked though!! Good on the lady!

I didn't see this ep but I saw another ep of it a few weeks back. A very inspirational lady was on it who ended up running a marathon.

My god, that fitness instructor is to die for

I kind of want to watch this now, but I don't have a TV and can't find it online. Mind you, not seeing that personal trainer in the flesh, as it were, is no great hardship - you're welcome to him, 1987!

Easy tiger!!I find this programme really inspirational although I know what you mean Joselo about it being a bit close to the bone. It may be helpful to step back and watch other people who are very overweight struggle with stuff like personal hygiene and stairs.....makes you realise that you are not the only one!

That sounds really hard hitting. I know that stairs one... I don't like to think about personal hygiene one, that makes me so sad, it would be so upsetting for someone to say there is a sturggle of personal hygiene. I think I could not see a thing like that. I would enjoy to see the before/after pics though!!
