Default Best calorie burn for weight loss/stroke rehab

I need to lose weight and am having a big problem getting my heart rate up for calorie burning. I had a stroke on March 16th that has me dealing with learning how to walk again. I have to use a frame type walker right now or a power scooter to get around. I also have an AFO which is a leg brace.

Any ideas of what I can do to get my heart rate up enough to burn some calories?

Fat loss comes about most from restricting your calorie intake. Think of exercise as a way to build back strength and fitness, not burn calories.

DO you have a physical therapist who can work with you on a plan?
