Default Jillian Michaels "30 Day Shred" - Starting Today 6/17/2012!

I've had this DVD for a while and started it several times but never have been able to finish it. I am going to begin it again tonight. I plan to stick with it all the way this time and make it through the full 30 days!

Is there anyone else out here who has this that wants to start it with me? All are welcome! Let's shred those pounds away!!!!!

I just realized that there's a "fitness videos" section of the forum. Can one of the mods please move this thread there?

Thanks!

It's tempting. I have the DVD, but like yours, it's not getting a lot of use.

I've never understood completely how to do the 30 Day Shred. How many of the workouts do you do daily? Maybe the DVD explains that, but obviously I was not paying attention when I first watched it!

For the shred, there are 3 work outs, for 3 levels. Level 1 is easiest, level 3 is hardest. You start with level 1, most people do level 1for 10 days, then graduate to level 2for 10 days, then level 3 for the last 10 days. HOWEVER, if you do level 1 for 10 days and don't fill comfortable moving on, then stay with that level, but honestly, after day 5... it's like a breeze. Day 1 and 2 suck the most on each level, and I personally think level 3 is easier than level 2.

ANYWAY

I'd love to do this, last year I lost 9 inches on the waist in 30 days. Calorie counting on myfitnesspal was involved and a bit of biking as well, but, the next month I didn't do the shred and the results just seemed less. This is a GREAT work out as it's only 25 minutes so I can convince myself to hold off on bed for a bit to just do it!

The full 30 days was hard. After 5 days going, it was easier to say "I WON'T GIVE UP!" because you had all ready dedicated almost a week to it. After getting threw level 2, level 3 is a breeze and you just tell yourself 10 more days... 9 more days... and surprisingly, even when I hit day 30, I may have done level 1 for another few days before school started.

I actually did 30 Day Shred for 90 days. I spent a full month on level 1 alone, see avatar for results. I'm now on her Ripped In 30 DVD.

I have that DVD somewhere but I've never used it. How long is the workout each day? My husband also has a copy of P90x but I think that will be too hard right now. I may join you if I can find my copy.

I started this today too! I am in worse shape than I thought. By the time I was done and then took a shower, I thought I was going to vomit and had to lay down on the couch for a few minutes before I could get dressed.

Wow, I;m SO out of shape. Last year when I started the shred I was 10lbs lighter and had been biking more. Today I almost DIED! I also felt like I needed to vomit and that has never happened before.

1 day down... 29 to go... I WILL make it!

Thanks for answering my question Kurisitaru. I will commit to the 20 minute workout (I was fearing that it was all three at once!). Not that it will be easy, but 60 minutes would be a definite no way from me! I'm trying to give up napping while my son naps so I can get my nighttime sleeping back to normal human hours. Right now I'm in a bad cycle of staying up until 2am, which makes me tired the next day, which makes me fall asleep during the day, which makes me not able to get to sleep at night, etc. Having a commitment during my son's nap will help! I'll start the 30 day shred tomorrow, but may be skipping Saturdays due to working a physical job all day those days.
