Default Food Questions

Can we eat...
I can't believe it's not butter spray?
Lipton Diet Green Tea?
hot sauce?
Crystal Light?
Deli Meat?

All (except the deli meat) are 0/0/0 but wanted to be sure.

I'd say ok to the diet green tea... personally I'd avoid the deli meat (my Phase 1 Plan Sheet has all 'lunch meat' on the restricted list, and I'm considering it in the same category). Not sure what's in your hot sauce. Read the label carefully, but if it's 000 carbs/fats/sugars then it should be ok. Crystal Light - may be best to avoid it, because it has aspartame. Google aspartame and you'll read why it's not such a good thing to put in your body - and a lot of posters here feel that it causes cravings.

Almost forgot 'I Can't Believe It's Not Butter'... I'm sure I've read of others on here having it ok'd by their coach.

You can have the tea, but if it is caffeinated, just drink more water. That's assuming it is 0/0/0, wasn't sure what 'diet' meant - a mix?

You can have deli meat. I did, but not too often, as the nitrates are terrible for you and they usually have more fat, and sometimes some carbs, depending on what meat it is and how it is processed. You might want to ask your coach...

Some people do use the butter spray - as long as you only have the 'serving' that is 0/0/0, it should be fine.

Basically, anything you have that is not an IP packet or a vegetable, should be 0/0/0...

My coach has said no to the Lipton Diet Iced Tea (not the green). It is listed as 0/0/0 but if you read the label it is sweetened with sucralose so I have been advised no...My coach fears it will slow the weight loss, so I am following her instructions, but sad because it is soooo good.

I am going Monday to the first workshop so I can get started on this program. I do have a question though, is Pelligrino water OK, it is on sale today and I wanted to get some stocked up if it is allowed, thanks.

My awesome coach said not to have drinks that have phosphoric acid. Even many seltzers have this. I have been searching for unsweetened iced tea, without any artificial sweeteners, so that I can add stevia. Many of them have this phosphoric acid. I finally found one -- trader joes makes a great unsweetened iced tea.
