Talking I'm Back!!!

Hey Ladies! (and gents)

I took a unplanned hiatus from the weight loss scene, but I am back! Work started kicking my butt and things got ahead of me. I stopped cooking my lunch every day, I stopped posting here, and counting calories, and the whole thing. I am glad to say (knocks on wood) that it has helped me overcome my fear of gaining weight again when I go into maintenance mode! In the few months of my break, I have not gained any weight! I just have not lost any either. That has to change.

I requested my holiday to go to Italy at the end of July today, and have decided that will be my goal. I want to loose my last 20 lb by time I leave, July 27th.

Congratulations on not gaining anything back and on recommitting to losing. I hope you knock off those last 20.

I know exactly what you mean. When I was in high school I was thin. (Not like everyone else. Size 5 instead of size 2. Still thin) After high school I gained 35 pounds and I thought that the best thing to do was to accept my body the way it was.Truth is the more weight I gained the worse I got. I got upset and then I ended up depressed. I have to tell you that when you are younger it is easier to lose weight. As you get older it is much harder. The thing for me was to slowly exercise each day. I started drinking more water and I also got involved with work and volunteering. I tried diet pills which caused me to lose weight temporarily and then gain weight right away. I tried everything. Truth is by drinking more water and exercising alittle a day I actually lost some weight. What I recommend for you is to do that and also you can eat 3 well-balanced meals or 6 small meals (3 healthy snacks-granola bars, health bars, shakes). I wish you the best of luck. I know you can lose the weight. DOn't give up and keep on trying.
