It's only been 30 days since I started my diet and I have lost 13 lbs.... but sometimes I feel like I am getting nowhere.... I know that you aren't supposed to lose a lot of weight in a month, but I just wish that it didn't take so long... I'm not hungry or craving junk food anymore, but I just wish that the pounds would come off faster....I guess this is my whining post! I used to be able to lose 15 lbs in two weeks! ....but I am not giving up! However long this takes....so be it! thank you all for letting me whine here...not too many people understand...
13 pounds in a month is awesome. It's mathematically impossible to lose 15 pounds of fat in two weeks even if you eat nothing at all for those two weeks (unless you're running marathons every day), so some of those losses must have been water weight.
As I'm sure you know, it's best not to rush the process. Get used to your new eating habits and fine-tune them so they'll work for you -- permanently. Keep it up, you're doing great!

13 pounds in one month is a lot, it's really good. 15 pounds in two weeks is rather absurd. You don't want the weight to just fall off over the course of one weekend, that's not really healthy (or possible). Relax, you're doing great, don't start getting down on yourself when you've been wildly successful because you won't necessarily drop 13 pounds the next month or the month after that or the month after that either. And if you're already complaining, you're just gonna start feeling worse despite the progress.
cbressler1976 - As the others have said 13 pounds in one month is great! I can understand where you're coming from though because I can be impatient when it comes to my weight loss too. What helps me is to take my measurements and see that when the scale is not moving as quickly as I'd like, that my body is shrinking. Just try and focus on eating right and exercising and not so much on the scale. Before you know it, you will be at your goal.
I've done the 'lose 15 lbs in 2 Weeks' thing in my 20s. I've tried the same diet in my 30s, but with added exercise. Did not produce the same results. I feel your pain and I felt like you are feeling now. But I stuck to the plan, upped my exercise and honestly, these 40 something pounds since January 6th have flown by!!
Thank you all for your support!!! ...some days is just harder then others, but I'm not going to give up!! I keep praying, exercising and eating right! I will get there eventually and when I do it will be all worth it!
I started this month and lost 13 lbs in a month, and it's slow but I'm happy. So many times I've lost 15 lbs in two weeks and turned around and gained 15 back in one week, so im trying to slow down and do it the way everyone swears you have to. I know that if I've lost 50 lbs by this time next year I will be HAPPY, even if I feel like I Could have lost 100 if I'd been more extreme/strict. If I weight the same or more in a year, like every other year, I'll be devastated. I know that trying to rush it leads to feeling discouraged and falling off the wagon, so I'm willing to give slow a try this time. But I still have to remind myself not to get carried away or disappointed every single day. It's a long journey but it doesn't have to be a death march.
