Default Do you work out when you're sick?

So this weekend I seem to have come down with a pretty nasty cold. I'm just wondering, what does everyone on here do when they're sick? Do you still work out?

No. I figure that my body needs the recovery time. But I am sick very infrequently (generally once a year at most), so it's easy for me to skip the gym time.

Side note, as a general plea to everyone: if you work out at the gym, please stay home when you're sick! There are enough germs at the gym already.

Yes I would definitely skip the gym but I was thinking of doing my at home routine or a run. I think you're right though, rest needed.

I don't run or do cardio when I'm having respiratory issues. I figure my lungs can use a break.

I do continue to do some body weight resistance exercises at home, though. Just take it easy.

Hope you feel better soon!

I usually skip the gym (not that I am doing much now). And definitely, don't do anything at home that tires me too much.

Right now I am getting over the flu (was pretty bad on Friday). Yesterday I was much better so I did a bit of abs with my pilates ball (very soft, nothing exhausting). Today I have just been sitting on my balls lots and did some bouncing on it.

One thing I sometimes do is just tighten my abs and butt and then release, repeating several times (which I need to do, anyway, because of back trouble).
