Default Should this hurt?

I have been doing crunches and they hurt to say the least…

I am able to do them, however when I go up to complete the crunch, it feels like my ribs are rubbing on something and pulling it.

Am I doing something wrong or is this normal when you are starting out?!

Should I be concerned?

when i first started exercising my ribs and the back of my ribs and lower back really hurt.. whilst doing the exercise and most definitely afterwards!

my cousins who is a personal trainer recommended i didn't do a full crunch but started of doing mini ones its really worked and a couple weeks later here i am doing full crunches with no pain at all.

all that said the muscle ache after hasn't gone away just yet.

best wishes on your journey hun, snookipaige. x

Thanks for your reply! I've been a little concerned, however I just assumed it was the muscles so I ended up working through the pain and doing them again last night... Again, waking up very sore.

Glad it isn't just me! :-)
