I'm kind of a believer that some trends can still work on older people, given the right pairings. So, if you're not 20-something and want to wear those pants (which are super cute, btw), I'd wear them with a longer flowy neutral colored simple top and some neutral colored flats. The key is to have only one item that really pops and is form fitting. I'm 41 and would totally rock those pants if I felt think enough. For me, the issue is that I'm a pear shape so I like to wear pants that have a boot cut. No matter how much I enjoy a trend, I always have to analyze how it would fit my body. Based on your photo, I think you could wear those now! You might try an espadrille in a tan color and a longer flowing white top. Go for it!
I would like to be thin enough to wear white jeans. I feel like I'm almost there but just haven't found the perfect pair. I know it sounds strange but I just feel like they'll fit me best when I hit my goal in 2 or 3 lbs.
I would totally wear them, lovemydoggies! And you, LM - try them with the floaty top and some heals - would look great! Sadly I'm in my mid 40's and not that thin yet either so will give them a miss and aim for the white jeans for summer. Now THAT would be fab as I've always wanted some!
I want to be thin enough to chase after my neices and nephew, play with outside without getting winded. I want to not feel like eyes are on me at the gym. I want to go to Great America and not have to worry if I will fit in the rides.
And.......wear anything and everything from Gilly Hicks. But of course the prev mentioned stuff is more important.
I feel like now I can cosplay! So I need to figure out what costume I want to wear and what convention I'm going to.
Ooooh! It hadn't even occurred to me that I might get to cosplay someday, but my weight really is the only thing holding me back so why not? Thanks, now I've got something new to look forward to!
That's my one big fear, that I am gonna be at 120 and still have legs that don't look gooed in tight pants! My legs have always always always been big. And with the muscle I am adding to them from running and soon cycling... -pff.
